What is a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN)?
A Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) is a unique and internationally recognized identifier for a product. The Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) provides a global standard for identifying trade items in the supply chain.

GTIN’s are embedded within the 2D Data matrix printed on certain human drug product labels in the United States.
